Julianne Hough may have a new part-time job: as cupid.

According to E! News, the dancer-turned-actress played a role in a new celebrity couple. Her best friend, Nina Dobrev, and her brother, Derek Hough, are now an item. Earlier in the year, there were plenty of rumors that the two were dating; however, this was constantly denied. 

Although their reps declined to comment, Dobrev’s tweets did plenty of the talking. “The Vampire Diaries” star posted multiple Instagrams last weekend congratulating her new man on his Emmy win. 

In one Instagram picture, Dobrev raved, “"@Derekhough !!!!!!!! #EMMYWINNER I cant express in 140 characters how unbelievably excited+incredibly proud I am of you. You deserve this."

The enthusiasm didn’t stop there. Dobrev went on Instagram yet another picture of both Houghs, declaring: "I wish I wasnt filming so I could have been there to celebrate w/u guys!"

Dobrev kept posting, concluding the night with one last Instagram of her new fling, captioning it: "@derekhough Those of us touched by your light got to watch you brighten up the rest of the world. Keep shining!"

Derek responded to all of these thoughts of love by tweeting, “Your [sic] the best babe.”

The couple is said to have been together since August. Dobrev previously dated “Vampire Diaries” co-star Ian Somerhalder, but the pair split last spring. Derek, a “Dancing with the Stars” four-time winner, has previously dated Cheryl Cole and Lauren Conrad.

1. Gwyneth Paltrow helped bring together Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal. A few years back, she invited them to a dinner party at her house in London and the sparks flew. Swift eventually went on to whine about the relationship in “All Too Well.” 

2. John Krasinski brought Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak back together after their spilt in 2008. Krasinski apparently asked the two to help plan his wedding to Emily Blunt, only intending for them to rekindle the romance. The couple is still dating. 

3. We have Kristin Cavallari to blame for all of those excrutiating moments of watching Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt together. Indeed, the original reality star linked the two most fame-hungry stars when the cameras weren’t airing.
