Lebanese police arrested a suspect on Saturday that they believe was connected with the Lebanese mosque bombings. The double bombing on Friday in Tripoli, Lebanon's second largest city, killed at least 47 people according to state media.

The suspect was identified as Sheik Ahmad al-Ghareeb by the National News Agency. The suspect appeared in a surveillance video at the site of one of the bombings and he also is involved in an organization that has good relations with the Shiite Hezbollah militant group.

Even though the organization al-Ghareeb is involved in is Sunni, the coordinated explosions took place in Tripoli, which is considered a Sunni city.

Along with the 47 deaths that have been confirmed, over 500 other people were wounded in the attacks yesterday afternoon. The two mosques that were attacked in the middle of the day, the Taqwa and Salam mosques, were filled with worshippers because it was the Muslim day of prayer.
