In response to a U.S. intelligence assessment that has concluded with "high confidence" that the Syrian government used chemical weapons against their own people, President Obama announced Friday that he has not yet made a decision on whether or not the U.S. will intervene in the ongoing conflict.

The President made his announcement after Secretarty of State John Kerry laid out a case for American intervention earlier Friday morning.

The president has promised that any military action undertaken in Syria will be limited.

"We're not considering any boots on the ground approach," Obama said.
