Currently, the region is experiencing heavy flooding and more than 98,000- 100,000 people are with out power. Due to the extreme weather that the region is experiencing, relief efforts are being impacted. However, according to National Weather Service meteorologist, Mark Wiley,“It looks like for the next few days they’re going to have favorable conditions for the ongoing recovery.” A cold front is moving into the area, which will allow for recovery efforts.
