U.N. Peacekeeps Held By Armed Group In Syria

About 20 United Nations peacekeepers have been detained by an armed group of fighters near Syria, reported the agency.

The confirmation followed the release of online videos of the fighters and captives, who were on a supply mission. One video showed a man who claimed to be part of the "Martyrs of Yarmouk" brigade and said the captives would not be released until the Syrian government pulls out of the Jamla village.

A U.N. team has been dispatched to resolve the situation.
