Over the past week there has been worldwide reaction to Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius's building murder charge. His girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, was found beaten and shot dead at Pistorius's home on Valentine's Day morning.

Since the announcement of her death information has been leaked about the building investigation. Early Monday morning it was released that Pistorius had steroids in his home. Although, it is unclear how this will be used, police are focused on keeping information about the investigation from the public until after they've presented it in court.

Nike announced Monday that it will not continue with plans to use Pistorius in any of its future promotional ads. The company pulled an ad featuring Pistorius from 2007 which featured the caption, "I am the bullet in the chamber."

According to USA Today, Peet Van Zyl of Pistorius' management company said Monday

"At this point in time, all sponsors are still on board, and they have given us their commitment towards Oscar, based on the relationships that they have formed with him over the past years." He added that the sponsors "are quite happy to allow the legal process to take its course before they make any other further and formal announcements about it."

As the case builds against Pistorius information from Steenkamp herself could help authorities determine what may have led to her death. Personal messages between Steenkamp and rugby player, Francois Hougaard, are said to have been found in her iPad.

Pistorius is scheduled to attend court on Tuesday.
