A candlelight memorial was set up outside the Department of Public Safety's (DPS) office today for Officer Keith Lawrence, who was murdered along with his fiancee in Irvine earlier this week.

The memorial had both religious and tea light candles, as well as a memory board where many DPS officers had written notes in memory of Lawrence. The notes included condolences as well as well wishes.

"God Bless. See you soon!" read one note, as well as another that read, "It was a pleasure knowing such a great and caring person."

There were also bouquets and a picture of Lawrence framed by a wreath. A final, larger picture was hung at the back of the memorial.

The DPS had no information regarding who had set up the memorial and brought the flowers at the time.
