The shooting and six-vehicle chain-reaction accident occurred on the world-famous, neon-lit Strip near the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Bally’s and Flamingo resorts.

According to ABC News, police said the altercation began between Harris and rapper Kenny Clutch in the valet area of a nearby hotel.

Police said Harris fired several rounds into a Maserati driven by Clutch, 27, whose legal name was Kenneth Cherry Jr. Both men continued driving their respective vehicles northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Shortly after, Clutch was shot and his vehicle spun out of control and collided with several other cars, including a taxi. The taxi burst into flames, killing the driver and a female passenger.

Witness John Lamb told ABC News, "I looked out my window and I could see one vehicle down here on the corner of the intersection totally engulfed in flames."

The Washington Post reported that a getaway car was recovered by police on Saturday. Police had been searching for the black Range Rover, with blackout windows and distinctive black rims, since it was last seen speeding away from the shooting. The vehicle was found at a gated apartment complex a couple of blocks east of the Strip.

Las Vegas police Capt. Chris Jones said Sunday investigators are sorting through evidence, but do not know where Harris is.

Jones cited “lots of information coming at us all at once, especially on the Range Rover,” but was not specific about details of the case.

Police released a jail photo of Harris taken following his arrest in Las Vegas last year. According to USA Today, Harris faced charges of pandering, kidnapping, sexual assault and coercion charges. The disposition of that case was not immediately known.

Harris sometimes goes by the name Ammar Asim Faruq Harris. Police consider him to be armed and dangerous.

Harris is described as 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 828-3111.
