A shooting and multi-car crash on the Las Vegas Boulevard resulted in three deaths early Thursday morning. The shooting happened in front of Bally's Hotel and Casino, and it led to a car crash involving six vehicles.

Authorities say that they are looking for the suspects who were driving around in a black Range Rover SUV. Shots were fired from that vehicle at people that were driving in a silver-gray Maserati. The driver of the Maserati was killed by the gunfire and the car crashed into a taxi, which caused the fiery collision.

The cab driver that was killed in the explosion was identified as Michael Boldon. The passenger in the taxi also was killed, but police have not identified this person yet.

Authorities have also stated that they believe the reasoning behind the shooting was a prior fight that ensued at one of the hotels. Besides the three people that were reported dead, at least three more were injured from the incident. Two of them were transported to a local hospital and are in critical condition.

Major hotels on the Strip such as the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace have been closed for several hours while police continue to search for the suspects.

There has been an alarming trend of violence on the Strip this month. Three people were injured after being shot in a parking garage off the Strip on February 6. Additionally, a tourist was stabbed in an elevator at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay this past weekend.
