The Grammys is full of exciting, crazy, and unexpected moments. Summing up all of the things that happened throughout the award show would be almost impossible, so here’s a look at our ten best moments of the night, as told by an attendee.

1. Taylor Swift's Circus Opening

Taylor Swift opened up the show tonight by singing her hit song “We Are Never Getting Back Together.” Behind the star unfolded a performance of an Alice in Wonderland type scene with rabbits and people on stilts dancing behind the singer. If that wasn’t cool enough, Taylor then gave us a little surprise. In the middle of the song, she stopped singing and said “So he calls me up and he’s like ’Ah still love you, and I’m like ’I'm sorry, I’m busy opening up the Grammys,” and the crowd went wild. If we didn’t know any better we’d have to guess and say that Taylor was sending her ex, Harry Styles a little message as she said the first part in a hilarious British accent. You tell him Taylor! Not much can top this girl’s sassy power, and it was a perfect way to start off the 55th Grammy Awards Show.

2. Carrie Underwood's Powerhouse Performance

While Swift rocked out with her girl power, Carrie Underwood put on a beautiful performance of two of her songs. The singer started with “Blown Away” and then ended with her song “Two Black Cadillacs.” Underwood was wearing a stunning ball gown to accompany her amazing performance. However, this was no ordinary dress. It was projected with images and colors to represent the different lyrics as Underwood belted them out. From roses to a monarch butterfly, the dress was almost as gorgeous as Carrie.

3. fun. In the Rain

We’ve been jamming to this new band’ss singles all year long. fun. not only controlled the show with their endless number of nominations, but they also put on an amazing performance that left the crowd speechless. While performing their inspirational hit song, “Carry On,” the band was suddenly drenched in a downpour of water droplets coming from above the stage. The stage turned into a storm while the band brought the house down. This performance definitely deserves a spot in our top ten list and the band certainly proved it was deserving of its win for Song of the Year.

4. Kelly Clarkson Gives Miguel A Shoutout

As if it were possible to love Kelly Clarkson any more, she gave us a whole new reason to adore her tonight as she accepted her award for Best Pop Vocal Album. The American Idol star ranted on about Miguel, who had performed moments ago, and how she needed to do a duet with him.  “I don't know who the hell you are, but we need to sing together. I mean, good God. That was the sexiest dancing I've ever seen,” Clarkson confessed about the earlier performer. Clearly, Kelly is as adorable as ever.

5. Dress Code Be Damned: J.Lo's Slit

This year, the Grammys implemented a new dress code for celebrities and audience members to adhere by. The code was brought on due to celebrities’ rather risqué apparel in earlier shows. So, when Jennifer Lopez came onto the stage tonight to present an award she jokingly let the audience know that she got the memo. However, she was still going to show off her hot body in a slinky black dress with a slit going up her right leg all the way to the top of her thigh despite the new rules. The singer got her point across loud and clear: if you got it flaunt it. No dress code can hold back her sexiness.

6. Elton John & Ed Sheeran Were An "A-Team"

The show wouldn’t have been nearly as good as it was without the performance by Elton John and Ed Sheeran. The duet sang Sheeran's hit “The A Team” while Sheeran played guitar and John took over the piano. This duet was literally music to our ears and could not have been any more touching. The legend lives on, as does Sheeran, as this performance is one for the books.

7. A Fitting Tribute To Bob Marley

Everyone loves Bob Marley, but even better than listening to the late reggae singer's hits is hearing them sung in tribute by Rihanna, Bruno Mars, and even Sting. Together, the artists sang Marley’s song “Could You Be Loved” in a fun, bohemian way that made everyone want to dance. The mixture of the three artists’ vocals made the song sound amazing. They definitely made Marley proud.

8. Adam Levine & Alicia Keys

Another amazing performance of the night was done by Alicia Keys and Maroon 5. The artists mixed their songs “Girl on Fire” and “Daylight.” Going back and forth between the two hits, the celebrities made the songs fit together perfectly in an amazing duet. Keys not only sang her powerful hit, but she also played the drums along with it, making the performance that much better. As for Adam Levine, not much needs to be said other than he was handsome and talented as ever. Let’s hope to see more collaborations by them in the future!

9. Chris Brown Snubs Frank Ocean

An exciting, but not quite as positive moment during the show was when Chris Brown blatantly did not give Frank Ocean a standing ovation after his performance near the end of the show. It’s been said that the two singers have been in an on going feud and even got into a physical fight outside of a studio. Not only did Ocean beat Chris Brown in Best Urban Contemporary Album, but he also won Rap/Sung Collaboration while Chris won nothing and did not get to perform, though his girlfriend Rihanna did. It is easy to see why Chris might resent the new singing sensation and his anger was noticeable tonight.

10. Miguel's Memorable Performance

Like Kelly Clarkson said, Miguel was one sexy dancer tonight. The rising star not only danced through the audience, but he also sang in the most crystal clear, perfectly pitched voice possible. Miguel performed alongside Wiz Khalifa in a duet that people will be talking about for weeks to come.
