A nurse was found dead on Friday in an apparent suicide after a prank call by two Australian DJs trying to get information about Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, according to CBS News.

Jacintha Saldanha had answered when the DJs called on Tuesday, impersonating Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles to obtain information about the duchess who was being hospitalized for acute morning sickness.

According to hospital officials, Saldanha had not been the nurse who divulged the medical information about the duchess but had transferred the call.

A St. James' Palace spokesman said, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jacintha Saldanha. Their Royal Highnesses were looked after so wonderfully well at all times by everybody at King Edward VII Hospital, and their thoughts and prayers are with Jacintha Saldanha's family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time."

Saldanha had been working at the hospital for more than four years and was a mother of two.
