The countdown is on to the 40th annual American Music Awards. This year, scheduled performers for the show include everyone from Ke$ha and Justin Bieber to Stevie Wonder. In addition, Wonder and Ryan Seacrest will be presenting a tribute to the legendary Dick Clarke, who passed away earlier this year. Clarke founded the AMAs in 1972, so the performance is bound to be memorable.

According to SPIN Magazine, there are no hosts for this year's show, but Lance Bass, Kimberly Cole, Brad Goreski, Sean Kingston, and Tristan Wilds will steer the program's live online pre-show. Sounds...interesting?

Another first for the AMAs, this year also marks the creation of the new Electronic Dance Music Category. Nominees include David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Skrillex. Awesome!

Fans can watch the show live around the world, as it will be streaming live on ABC.com, AMAs365.com, Cokemusic.com, Livestream, Ustream, YouTube and through AP Live Entertainment.

With so many popular acts lined up, Sunday night's show is performance packed. Take a glimpse at the artists slated to perform below.

Stevie Wonder

What can one say about Stevie Wonder? He is everything wonderful about music...a legend. It is so exciting he will perform!

Justin Bieber

Bieber fever speaks for itself. He has millions of fans around the world, is currently on tour playing sold out shows and is nominated for three AMA awards. Oh, and he's apparently single again. Maybe NOKIA theater should increase their security detail for the night...

Kelly Clarkson

Clarkson has made many waves in the ten years she's been on the music scene. Recently she appeared as a guest coach on "The Voice". She is nominated for two AMA awards.

Carly Rae Jepsen

Canadian singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen is nominated for best new artist of the year. She became such a powerful overnight sensation; she is currently on tour with Justin Bieber. Can anyone beat her?

PSY

Perhaps the most famous Korean artist in the world, PSY has taken over the airwaves in the US and abroad. As such, he is scheduled to perform at the 2012 AMAs. Can't wait!

The Wanted

British pop band The Wanted is known for creating chart-topping singles in Europe and the US. Most recently, their single "Glad You Came"blasted into the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10.

Swizz Beatz featuring Chris Brown and Ludacris

Swizz's latest single "Everyday Birthday" was released in November 2012 and was produced by Swizz and Jukebox and features Chris Brown and Ludacris. Swizz has had an impressive career working with some of the biggest names in music. In terms of Chris Brown, well, you can read my thoughts on him here.

Carrie Underwood

Underwood is no stranger to the music industry. She seems to be the darling of the country music scene, well, besides Taylor Swift. Underwood is nominated for two AMA awards.

Christina Aguilera

A judge on "The Voice", Christina Aguilera is all over the pop culture scene these days, and she's not going anywhere! Aguilera recently came together with other artists in support of the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Aguilera is a native of Staten Island, which was devastated by the storm. See her beautiful performance below.

Ke$ha

This grungy glam badass continues to turn out chart toppers. She's definitely got her own niche both musically and fashion-wise. Her outfit is bound to turn heads Sunday night.

Linkin Park

Linkin Park fills the slot for alternative rock performance at this year's AMAs. And it's not too surprising - they are nominated for Favorite Alternative Rock Artist.

Nicki Minaj

This self-proclaimed Barbie loves making a splash with her personal style, wardrobe, and music. Her performance is bound to be off the chain! Minaj is nominated for four AMA awards this year.

No Doubt

No Doubt is making a come back and about to go on tour, to the delight of many fans. They recently played their first concert on stage together in three years. It should be interesting to see them perform live.

P!nk

This badass female rocker has continued to turn out chart-topping hits, including her latest, "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)".

Pitbull

This Miami-born rapper, songwriter, actor and record producer currently has an album out entitled "Global Warming". His big hit of the moment is "Don't Stop the Party".

Taylor Swift

Recently single, Swift is beloved by her devoted fans worldwide. She will definitely be in her element and dress up glamorously on the red carpet.

Usher

Usher is the cutest artist alive. Okay, that's not an official nomination by the AMAs, but it is in my book! He'll be sure to bring his sexy r&b style to the stage. Usher is nominated for three AMA awards this year.
