It's an athlete's dream. It's going to be 8,000 square feet of complete full lines of women's men's and children's apparel, accessories and footwear. Under Armour announced earlier this month they will be opening a new specialty store in February in Baltimore.

"This is going to be the biggest expression of Under Armour anywhere in the world," Henry Stafford said. Stafford is the senior vice president of apparel, outdoor and accessories for Under Armour.

The retail store will be the third in the Baltimore area but the first to include the complete full lines of Under Armour. It will be in the Harbor East neighborhood located on the first floor of the Legg Mason tower. It will join retailers like Anthropologie, J.Crew, and City Sports. It's right across from the Inner Harbor where Under Armour's Locust Point headquarters is.

This store will give shoppers a new experience when buying Under Armour products. It will be a chance for the company to display new products, like women's apparel or UA Spine running shoes. They will be able to find head to toe apparel and footwear all in one location. The store will include special lighting focusing on product assortments and will also feature a new way of exposing new products. There will be a digital-tech to display and educate customers about the new offerings of the brand.

"This is not temporary," Stafford said. "This is a store we plan on opening and a store we plan on being open a long time."

Under Armour hopes this is one of several mid-Atlantic specialty stores. The Baltimore Business Journal reported "more local stores could be on the way." Stafford said "We'll have a greater presence [in Baltimore] in the years to come."
