In "Monday Morning Brew" and "Wednesday Night Hype," I will write a journal of my fantasy football team and my journey through a 12-team league. In "Wednesday Night Hype," I share my thoughts and predictions on the fantasy week ahead, as well as my lineup for the week. In "Monday Morning Brew," I reflect on the choices I made and how well (or terribly) they panned out.

My Starting Team for Week 6:

Record:
5-3 (Pending official results)

QB - Tom Brady
WR 1 - Reggie Wayne
WR 2 - Brandon Marshall
RB 1 - Marshawn Lynch
RB 2 - Darren McFadden
TE - Antonio Gates
W/R Flex - Jamaal Charles
DEF: Miami

Bench:
Ben Roethlisberger (QB, PIT)
Kenny Britt (WR, TN)
Donald Brown (RB, IND)
Randall Cobb (WR, GB)

So, I picked up the Miami defense last minute and decided to give them a play. Turned out it helped me to victory, as they scored 20 points. This is why I prefer to go week to week with defenses and play the matchups. I may keep the Arizona and Miami DEF, and alternate week to week based on the matchup and see where that goes. I'm normally not a big fan of having two defenses on the team, but I'm open to change.

I was temped to put in Big Ben at QB over Brady this week, but I decided to just role with my man Tom Brady instead. Man, was that the right move. Just when Brady looks like hes slowing down, BAM! Thirty point explosion. Turns out I needed every bit of it, as I only beat my oppoent by one point. No easy wins in this league.

Jamaal Charles really took this week off. The Kansas City team just looks so bad, I don't know what to make of Charles' value moving forward. I'm not sure a running back can thrive on a team with no passing game at all, and no defense. When will the chiefs learn to just forget about the passing game and just run the ball every play. Eventually they'll get there. What a mess.

Antonio Gates is killing me. Phillip Rivers is killing me. There is just no production coming out of my TE spot this year and it has caused me to have some unecccessarily close games. I traded Hernandez, so I have no other option than to roll with Gates and see where that goes. I'm starting to think it might be Phillip Rivers that is the problem over in San Diego. Gates looks fine, when the ball is thrown his way. The problem is that it rarely is.

I really would love to see a resurgance in Gates, and its probably a classic case of fantasy attachment, but it's hard to see a guy that good struggle like he is. I hope they get that offense figured out. Only six points aginast the Browns is embarassing.
