In "Monday Morning Brew" and "Wednesday Night Hype," I will write a journal of my fantasy football team and my journey through a 12-team league. In "Wednesday Night Hype," I share my thoughts and predictions on the fantasy week ahead, as well as my lineup for the week. In "Monday Morning Brew," I reflect on the choices I made and how well (or terribly) they panned out.

My Starting Team for Week 6:

QB - Tom Brady
WR 1 - Reggie Wayne
WR 2 - James Jones
RB 1 - Jamaal Charles
RB 2 - Darren McFadden
TE - Antonio Gates
W/R Flex - Alfred Morris

Bench:
Brandon Marshall (WR, CHI)
Davone Bess (WR, MIA)
Kenny Britt (WR, TN)
Donald Brown (RB, IND)
Aaron Hernandez (TE, NE)
Randall Cobb (WR, GB)

The first thing I have to do this Monday is thank James Jones. I picked Jones up off the waiver wire three weeks ago as a stop gap while Reggie Wayne was on bye week. For the last three weeks, he has gotten two TDs a game. That’s 12 points in TDs alone! After the first week I joked with my friend that I was going to buy a James Jones jersey because of his performance. Now I’m serious.  James. Jones. The main question that remains is who to keep and who to trade for value, Cobb or Jones? Will explore the market this week - stay tuned.

Man Aaron Hernandez looked solid in his return after suffering from an ankle injury in week two. I was fortunate enough to get Hernandez off waivers when he went down with the injury. I’m not sure what his previous owner was thinking with that move. Anyway, Hernandez had a solid six catches for 30 yards and a redzone touchdown. The touchdown was a single coverage fade with Brady lofting it to Hernandez for the jump and catch. I think I’m going to roll with Hernandez and shop Gates around the league for a trade. I spent my fifth pick on Gates hoping for a revival, but so far it hasn’t panned out. Gates plays this Monday night against Denver. I’ll give him one more week to show me something.

Alfred Morris is becoming the model of consistency among RBs. He has outplayed his Yahoo projected stats every week this year, and he continued that trend this week against a great Minnesota run defense. While he only managed 47 yards rushing, he cashed in on a goal line TD, which added up to a nice 12 point fantasy day. I picked Morris with my last pick of the draft and man is he making me look like a genius. I’ve been shopping Morris on the trade market for a while now, and I’m looking into cooking up a trade for Marshawn Lynch that would include Morris. If I can’t get the value I want, I’ll just keep him. He’s been money and he’s earned his value.

Jamaal Charles was uninspiring this week with a meager 40 yards rushing and 5.7 fantasy points. Come on Jamaal! I can’t complain too much, though. JC’s been straight cash, homie for the last few weeks and he came into this week the leading rusher in the NFL. Too bad the Brady Quinn factor sandbagged the entire Kansas City offense. JC’s on bye next week, so I’ve got big shoes to fill next week at RB 1.

Kenny Britt got some this week and pulled in about 15 points. I hate leaving points on the bench, so Britt may find his way into my starting lineup at flex when I move Morris into an RB slot to replace JC. Britt is finding way to get involved and the Titans are on the upswing. Very interesting.

Sunday Night Scoreboard:

Me: 97                     Opponent: 83

Players left to play:

Me: Antonio Gates      Opponent: None
