Actress Kristen Stewart, best known for starring in the “Twilight” movie franchise, will be the face of Balenciaga’s new women’s perfume, set to be launched this fall. She follows Charlotte Gainsbourg, who remains the face of the house’s first scent, Balenciaga Paris.

Balenciaga creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere told Women’s Wear Daily that Stewart was the muse for the new fragrance, adding “Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence…I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.” That rebellious spirit is clear in Stewart’s style, a mixture of high fashion and casual items topped with her signature unkempt hair.

The 21-year-old actress added that the edgy label is “just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived. It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable.”  

Stewart has had a busy year that involved managing three major projects, an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road,” “Snow White and The Huntsman,” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2.”
