Tim Burton fans and costume aficionados will have the chance to take a closer look at his films’ costumes on Friday, as The L.A. County Museum will hold a Tim Burton seminar Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m., The Hollywood Reporter said.

Award-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, long-time Burton film composer Danny Elfman, and production designer Rick Heinrichs are set to attend.

Following the seminar, there will be a screening of “Edward Scissorhands” at the Bing Theater. Atwood was the creative talent behind the designs for every costume in the movie, as well as the costumes for many other Burton films, including “Sweeney Todd,” “Alice in Wonderland” and most recently, “Dark Shadows.”

Atwood also created the costumes for “Rum Diary,” the newest Johnny Depp flick. The NYU graduate is no stranger to working with Depp or Burton, and the trio is so in tune with one another’s artistic direction that their costume ideas for Burton’s films tend to look alike.  Atwood is one of the foremost costume designers in the industry, with three Oscars (and nine nominations) under her belt.

The last time Burton and Atwood's collaborations were open to the public was last summer, when the costumes from "Alice in Wonderland" were put on display at FIDM here in Los Angeles. This time around, fans will have the chance to see costumes from various movies.

Anyone interested in Burton’s films or in costume and fashion design should take advantage of this opportunity. General admission costs $10, and tickets can be purchased online at lacma.org, or by phone at (323) 857-6010.
