Kyle Chandler won his first Emmy for lead actor in a drama series for his role as school football coach Eric Taylor in NBC's "Friday Night Lights." The show, who has a devoted fan base, just ended its five-season run this past spring.

Chandler, 46, was a regular on the series "Tour of Duty," "Homefront," and "Early Edition" before taking on this role. He was also in J.J Abrams' "Super 8," which premiered this summer.
