Emmys Dinner Menu Gives Guests More Than Awards To Be Excited About
Guests will enjoy a lavish dinner crafted by Joachim Splichal, chef and founder of Patina Catering of Patina Restaurant Group. Patina has taken the culinary reigns on the Governors Ball, creating its menu for 13 years in a row.
Using the season as culinary inspiration for the menu, the first course features slices of Windrose Farm heirloom tomatoes topped with cherry-wood-grilled asparagus, rosemary, and wisps of fried golden potatoes.
A rich and succulent second course of filet mignon with an oxtail bordalaise is set to follow, accompanied by a Vermont white cheddar macaroni gratin and a vegetable medley of copollini onion, rainbow baby carrot, and a caramelized broccoli emulsion.
A sultry chocolate and blackberry-themed dessert will serve as the finale of the meal—milk chocolate brownie topped with peaks of chocolate blackberry cream, served alongside a blackberry macaroon atop a chocolate rice crisp with honey sauce.
With a menu so appetizing, it’s clear that Splichal wants to serve nothing short of excellence for his guests. He is even willing to tailor his menu to fit special dietary needs of guests, offering vegetarian, vegan, and fish dishes. Splichal will also have assistants ready to bring him additional ingredients at the drop of a hat if guests have any other dietary requests.
While only a handful of talented nominees will walk away with an award in hand, it's safe to say all will leave with a full—and happy—stomach.
