In the midst of award show season, the stars get to demonstrate their sartorial skills, landing them recognition for something other than their acting chops. While the main Golden Globes trends included forest greens, namely Mila Kunis and Angelina Jolie's radiant ensembles, pale pinks, like Natalie Portman and Emma Stone's dresses, and long sleeved gowns perfect for winter's chill, the SAG Awards saw much more polarized looks. The central trends for the evening were ivory and cream gowns, such as Amy Adams', or vibrantly colored dresses, like Jennifer Lawrence's neon pink frock. Embellished and sequined dresses also made a repeated appearance, certainly an extension of the 20's inspired looks seen at the Globes. Neon Tommy's Entertainment Editors discuss who stole the show on this year's red carpet.

To see the outfits, check out LA Times' SAG Red Carpet Gallery.

Kim Kardashian - Marchesa burgundy one-shouldered dress with gold embroidering hemline, Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Piya: Love the natural makeup, and the color of the dress is stunning on her. No complaints from me!

Nicole: This is one of my favorite Marchesa dresses of the evening. She looks wonderful.

Tina Fey - Oscar De La Renta red strapless gown with lace embroidered overlay.

Piya: Liz Lemon this is not! Gorgeous dress and Tina looks incredible

Nicole: Shocked to see her not in black or navy at an awards show. Color definitely works on her!

Eva Longoria - Georges Hobeika pale grey/ice blue, deep v-neck gown with pleated draping.

Piya: Beautiful color that looks incredible on Eva. Effortless glamorous as always.

Nicole: Eva is single and stunning. I love this on her.

Jane Krakowski - (heavily pregnant) one-shouldered silver sequinned Badgley Mischka dress.

Piya: Heading up the pregnant A-listers, Jane looks radiant in this dress, which is beautifully embroidered.

Nicole: She is definitely working her baby bump. She looks radiant in this shorter look.

Jenna Fischer - Fendi silver/grey capped sleeve dress with black Fendi clutch.

Piya: This is a dress I’d expect to see on Amy Adams. Jenna looks gorgeous, I wish she went for something a little more glamorous, but she looks incredible.

Nicole: I love this silk chiffon dress. She looks like a Greek goddess!

Angie Harmon: Monique L’Huillier pale pink feathered dress strapless dress

Piya: What a monstrosity! Definitely the equivalent to Olivia Wilde’s horrific Marchesa prom dress at the Globes. Angie, this dress is way too young and way too “princess” for you.

Nicole: NO. The pink and the feathers do not work together. Not a good dress for the SAG awards.

January Jones - Carolina Herrera fitted black and gold printed dress.

Nicole: January, what is with the hair?? Not a fan of the hair and makeup. The dress isn’t bad with the gold embroidery, but she’s definitely done better.

Piya: She looks like she’s stepped straight off the Mad Men set! Not as outrageous as the Golden Globes Versace number.

Christina Hendricks - L’Wren Scott black v-neck shimmering long-sleeved gown.

Piya: Such a sexy look, I love that Christina is covering her ample curves but flashing just the right amount of flesh. Hair and make-up look fabulous with the femme-fatale look.

Nicole: Not really sure what I think about the dress, but her hair and makeup look fantastic. She has a very vixen-esque look going for her though.

Claire Danes - Louis Vuitton silver/black printed strapless long gown, Fred Leighton jewels.

Piya: I wish Claire didn’t always look so awkwardly nervous. The dress is gorgeous, but it wears her.

Nicole: Love the silhouette and patterning of the dress. Doesn't wear the belted look as well as Mila though.

Dianna Agron - Chanel haute couture navy strapless dress, Fred Leighton jewels

Nicole: I’m obsessed. She looks absolutely beautiful. Hair and makeup finishes the look off perfectly. Another winning look from her.

Piya: Beautiful dress, and Dianna wears it so well. Absolutely flawless look.

Jenna Ushkowitz - Badgley Mischka nude/gold strapless gown, Neil Lane jewels

Piya: I love this, the color works brilliantly on her, and the draping is gorgeous.

Nicole: The silhouette of this dress looks beautiful on her.

Jane Lynch - Ali Rahimi peplum skirted lilac dress, Swarovski clutch, Neil Lane jewels

Piya: Jane scrubs up so well from the Sue Sylvester tracksuits, and the color is gorgeous on her.

Nicole: I'm a fan of this coloring on her.

Heather Morris - Romona Keveza champagne colored strapless fitted gown.

Piya: I think Heather wins it again in the Glee fashion stakes - sorry Lea, Heather is just much more radiant and effortless.

Nicole: Love this beautiful "Swan Lake" inspired dress. She looks phenomenal.

Sofia Vergara - Roberto Cavalli electric blue v-neck fitted dress, Chopard jewellery.

Piya: SMOKING hot. Color is amazing, Cavalli is the perfect choice for Sofia’s sexy figure, and she always looks incredible.

Nicole: Love love love the color. As always, so sexy without looking too much.

Julie Bowen - Black deep Catherine Malandrino v-neck pantsuit, Neil Lane jewels.

Piya: Love the pantsuit choice, very risque v-neck, but she looks incredible.

Nicole: So sleek and I like the bold choices she made.

Sarah Hyland - MaxMara orange/red one-shouldered dress.

Piya: It’s cute, not too grown-up, and her hair and makeup work perfectly with her look.

Nicole: She looked great and it was completely age appropriate - not to mention her and her boyfriend looked super cute together...

Julianna Margulies - Yves Saint Laurent strapless red dress.

Nicole: Wearing another YSL, but this one is so much better than her Globe’s dress! It's the same silhouette but the color is so much more flattering.

Piya: YSL done right - very sleek, sophisticated and glam. Love it.

Amy Adams - Herve LeRoux ivory halter-strap gown with pleated draping.

Piya: I almost mistook her for Nicole Kidman! The color looks great on her, and I like the ponytail. Chic.

Nicole: Love the neckline and detailing on this dress. She looks effortlessly glamourous.

Natalie Portman- Azzaro ivory white strapless gown, Tiffany & Co. Jewelry

Piya: She looks radiant, and ivory suits her. I think Jane Krakowski still wins the baby bump stakes tonight.

Nicole: Definitely consistent in her choice of pale colors, which I love. I think this dress is absolutely lovely, and I love the embellishment on the neckline.

Nicole Kidman - Nina Ricci navy blue gown with lace inserts, Fred Leighton jewels

Piya: Much better than the Prada GG number, but I didn’t love the flyaway hair and I wish she’d try more draping with her dresses.

Nicole: Love the back of this dress but not as fond of the Victorian inspired neckline - especially with the flowered necklace.

Mila Kunis - Alexander McQueen 2011 Resort collection red printed strapless belted gown, Cartier tiger bangle.

Piya: My favourite look of the night. Mila nails it, all the time. So effortless, so beautiful and I love McQueen on any red carpet.

Nicole: She’s definitely one of my favorites of the night. She looks effortlessly glamorous. The belt may be a little unconventional for a red carpet, but she undoubtedly makes it work.

Hailee Steinfeld - Prada black, fuscia pink and orange block colour dress.

Nicole: I like the youthful look of her dress. The coloring of the stripes isn’t my favorite but it works for her.

Piya: I wish she had gone with Miu Miu, this dress is fun, but at the same time, it’s a little long, and I don’t like the weird hemline.

Hillary Swank - nude tone Versace one-shouldered number with embroidered neckline.

Piya: The colour is stunning, and Hillary looks incredible, especially with the loose curls and smokey-eye makeup.

Nicole: The color looks beautiful on her. I love the embellishment and the draping. Her hair also looks fabulous.
