On Wednesday afternoon, distinguished colorectal surgeon Dr. Zane Cohen disclosed that Mayor Rob Ford is suffering from a rare abdominal cancer. Mayor Ford pulled out of the mayoral election on Friday and was hospitalized before the news of his cancer was publicized.

Dr. Cohen refused to disclose much information about Ford’s prognosis, but he revealed that the Mayor will undergo chemotherapy treatment. Renata Ford said in response to her husband’s cancer, “We have a lot of faith in the doctors and we have a lot of faith in God."
