L.A. Is "America's Most Successfully Reinvented Metropolis," Says Trendy SFO Magazine

In the magazine's opinion, L.A. is doing something right when it comes to redevlopment and fixing prior planning woes. And with six separate rail projects underway, a river revitilization ready to go, and an endless sense of civic optimisim, it's hard to disagree.
This mornings awards featured Carol Schatz, head of the Central City Association which directs security ambassadors around D.T.L.A.
We'll see what the future holds for us, but it's always nice to see that we aren't the butt of east-coast jokes anymore. Last year both the New York Post and Wall Street Journal acknowledged that Los Angeles is now a cool place (despite not seeing any cool parts of the city, but we'll take it).
Even Washignton D.C. has been paying attention. Mayor Garceti has mananged to convince the federal government to give L.A. almost $3 billion for our own transit development.
