Chrysler Is Recalling The Car Ron Burgundy Helped Sell You

Our favorite Anchorman, Papa Burgundy, called it a “terrible car.” Maybe he was right.

Chrysler announced Wednesday an 870,000 car recall for the Dodge Durango, according to ABC.

Son of a bee sting!

Apparently there’s some pesky brake corrosion that makes it hard to stop the car.

WATCH Ron Burgundy’s appearance on "Conan" where he said he drove the car four feet and it "cracked in half.”

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is also apart of the recall. The 2011 through 2014 Durango SUV’s are the models affected.

They’ve done studies, and 60 percent of the time, Ron Burgundy can convince you to buy a car every time.

Sales for the Durango actually went up 40 percent after the ads appeared, as reported by The Wrap.

“I’ve been reduced to rubble!” Burgundy said (in the hit movie "Anchorman" and in no way in response to the revelation of the recall).
