Court Date For Man With 'Foot Fetish' Pushed Back

Julian Christopher Flores,19, pleaded not guilty in connection to one count of false imprisonment by violence and one count of a lewd act upon a child in January.
Flores' defense attorney told the judge that the prosecutor would be busy the next few weeks with other trials and planned vacation time.
Flores had voluntarily appeared for questioning at the LAPD Devonshire Station after a December 21st attempt on a victim while working at the popular Northridge roller rink Skateland.
The LAPD took Flores’ cell phone and laptop into custody for forensic examination. They found numerous videos of Flores instructing boys to remove their socks. All the videos appear to be shot at Skateland, according to the search warrant.
In January, Detective Daniel Aguirre of the LAPD obtained control over the investigation to locate victims that were displayed on the videos.
Aguirre is working with Skateland to obtain information pertaining to all guests who attended Skateland between May 1, 2013 and December 21, 2013.
General Manager Courtney Bourdas Henn of Skateland, said in a statement:
“We’ve employed thousands upon thousands of people, and this is the first time there’s ever been an incident with one of our employees… We are fully cooperating with the LAPD.”
Henn also mentioned that Skateland had not sent out a notice of its own, because the LAPD asked her not to do so while they continued with the investigation.
According to a search warrant affidavit, Flores approached the alleged victim on several occasions during his visit, attempting to befriend the boy. In an interview with the LAPD, Flores admitted to saying to the boy, “I bet you can’t take your socks off without using your hands,” and told the boy to meet him near a men’s bathroom to prove to Flores that he indeed could.
Flores met with the victim outside of the men’s bathroom and ushered him into an adjacent maintenance room. There, Flores sat the boy on top of a washer and removed his roller skates. Flores then asked the boy again to remove his socks.
As the boy was about to comply with the request, Flores heard the victim’s name being called from outside the maintenance room door. Flores panicked, immediately turning off the lights in the room, and told the victim to remain quiet. Flores then instructed the boy to exit the room after he left it himself.
After calling his name and checking in the men’s bathroom for her grandson, the victim’s grandmother waited in the walkway still looking. At this time, the victim’s grandmother noticed Flores returning a broom to a corner of the hallway and then spotted her grandson walking in the hallway without his roller skates on about a minute later.
The boy the then told his grandmother about the incident involving Flores.
Flores admitted to the LAPD that had they not been interrupted, he would have had the victim “rub his feet on his hands and that he was going to play with [victim’s] feet.” Flores also admitted to being sexually aroused by his foot fetish, according to the search warrant.
Flores was charged on December 24th, according to Ricardo Santiago, a public information officer at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He is out on $150,000 bail, and the maximum sentence he faces is eight years and four months in prison.
In addition to the charges, Flores also has a protective order against him to stay away from the victim and the victim’s family.
Flores’ attorney Valerie Lopez declined to comment on the case at this time. Deputy District Attorney, Elena Abramson, also declined through a public information officer.
Flores is due back in court on May 8.
