Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and the smell of roses and chocolate is in the air. Whether you're single or attached, there are loads of lovable guys on the tube to fantasize about sharing the passionate evening with.

Here are the seven characters we'd want to have as our Valentine:

Chris Messina plays Danny Castellano on "The Mindy Project" (Facebook).

Sure, he may be cranky and irritable at times, and he wears a feminine pair of red glasses, but underneath that exterior is a hopeless romantic just bursting to get out. He may not always show it, but he's extremely loyal and honest, which equals major boyfriend potential. Plus, he has some sweet dance moves.

Nick is a mess...but he has the biggest heart and the best intentions of any guy out there. He's sensitive, so you can count on him to put a smile on your face by planning an adorable and creative Valentine's Day surprise. Although it may not be what you originally expected, it's the thought that counts. Bonus: He's a damn good kisser.

Those eyes. That body. Oh, and did we mention he's a firefighter that saves lives for a living? Enough said.

Stephen Amell plays Oliver Queen on "Arrow" (Facebook).

You never have to worry when you're out with this vigilante because he's got your back. And there's nothing hotter than a man that has your back. The billionaire businessman is tough when fighting the bad guys, but he does have a softer side for his family and friends. If that's not enough, he's super easy on the eyes and looks good in a crisp suit...or shirtless.

Scott Foley plays Jake Ballard on "Scandal" (Facebook).

He's a trained agent that can kill with his bare hands. If that isn't enticing, then what is? Olivia Pope may not appreciate his skills, but we sure do. He's attractive, charming, protective and a little kinky (remember the cameras?) but he's the perfect date to have around in a sticky situation. You can expect an adrenaline rush whenever he's nearby.

Austin Butler plays Sebastian Kydd on "The Carries Diaries" (Facebook).

He may be a rich, but the brooding, bad boy is as sweet as they come. He really cares enough to make a grand gesture for that special someone on Valentine’s Day. Just imagine cruising around in his red Porsche convertible while he whisks you away to a romantic dinner. His messy blonde hair, striking blue eyes and perfect bone structure don’t hurt either.

The sexy vampire may be thousands of years old, but he still looks damn fine and has an uncanny ability to melt any heart with a single sultry stare. An evening with him would be a wild adventure rather than a typical date. But, who cares? He can suck our blood anytime!
