4 More Bright Ideas From Dumb Starbucks Founder Nathan Fielder

Dumb Starbucks founder Nathan Fielder revealed during a press conference in front of the stunt's strip mall location on Hillhurst Ave. that he's also the face of all-new Comedy Central series "Nathan For You." The show centers on Fielder's one-man marketing quest to flip small businesses on their head with stunts somehow even more ridiculous than the magic of Dumb Starbucks.
Among Fielder's many ideas, here are some of the brightest:
1. "Poo Yogurt" flavor created for yogurt shop publicity stunt
In hopes of boosting PR for Eagle Rock, CA frozen yogurt joint Yogurt Haven, Fielder combined a mix of potty humor and food science to rake in the dough. Fielder contacted an online company to customize an artificial flavor to mimic the taste and scent of human feces. "The media responds to controversy," Fielder said as he presented his marketing ploy to a skeptical fro-yo manager. And his plans seemed to work - as soon as the flavor launched, customers flocked to fill the store.
2. Viral video staged
Oak Glen Petting Zoo in Yucaipa, CA called upon Fielder for his expertise. The result was an artfully staged viral video of a pig's heroic "rescue" of a drowning baby goat on the premises. Over 8 million YouTube views later the hoax had proven effective.
3. Caricatures transformed into insult comedy
Fielder approached struggling caricature artist Greg Dohlen with the idea that the craft of caricature is no different than the craft of insult comedy. Dohlen ran with the idea and sketched a number of hilariously tasteless and indeed insulting renderings of beachgoers. Take a look at them in the clip above.
4. "Dog Heaven" created for mourning pet owners
While working with an animal hospital Fielder brought a compassionate yet unsuccessful light to his usual marketing shenanigans. In order to soften the blow of losing a pet for little ones, Fielder recruited a questionable voice actor from Craigslist to record a special message to a young boy from his pitbull. The message was accompanied with "footage" from a Fielder-created "Dog Heaven."
