When it comes to the Grammys, it's not hard to see that it's just as much about fashion as it is about the music. 

The Grammys red carpet is known to bring out some of the boldest fashions from the biggest names in Hollywood. While most award show red carpets are full of haute couture and runway fashions, the Grammy's allow stars to make a statement and have fun- and that's exactly what stars from Katy Perry to Giuliana Rancic did tonight. 

This year, stars are making a sexy statement in revealing gowns with the on-trend sheer panel. Whether it's across the chest or the down the back, celebrities are flaunting what their mama's gave them with translucent fabrics and peekaboo panels.

At a first glance, the gown looks completely covered up but once the star turns around it's a completely different story. The white, sheer Valentino gown adorned with music notes looked like one flowing page of sheet music. We wouldn't expect to see the musically-inspired ensemble anyone, but somehow Katy makes it work and unforgettable.
