Linsanity” is a documentary on NBA basketball player Jeremy Lin, who now plays for the Houston Rockets. This film shows all the ups and downs that Lin had to go through to reach the basketball career he currently holds.

It starts off with him during his childhood years and his love for basketball. He is an Asian-American player and therefore, in the sport of basketball, his skill is easily doubted. From childhood to a teenage boy, he continues to pursue his love for basketball and joins a team in his state high school.

He gets accepted into Harvard University, an Ivy-League, with recognition in his talent in basketball. While Lin brings victories to Harvard’s basketball court, him being an Asian American brings stereotypes and challenges.

However, things start turning around for Lin as he earns a chance to prove himself and that he deserves to be drafted. During this time, he eats, sleeps, breathes, and lives only for basketball. We watch him during his training sessions and during the times he has to redeem himself on the courts.

He makes his name known across the globe, causing a hot sensation known as Linsanity, as he unleashed his greatness during the last season of the NBA.

The film allows the audience to build a connection with him as they watch him grow as a person and progress his skills in basketball. After watching the film, you will feel like you have known Jeremy Lin your whole life.

From the start of the film to the end, you are with Lin through every step of the way. The documentary is enjoyable to watch because it lets you see what kind of person he is whether you knew who he was or not.

Jeremy Lin teaches you that if you really want something, you have to go after it and never give up until you achieve it.
