Bakersfield Power Plant Demolition Results In Three Injuries

A Bakersfield, CA PG&E power plant exploded Saturday morning leaving three people injured. The plant which was scheduled for demolition caused chunks of debris to fly from the blast.

The victims were watching the demolition from across the street at a Lowe's parking lot when they were hit by shrapnel. According to the LA Times an ABC23 broadcast quoted Kern County sheriff's official as saying 44-year-old man suffered an amputation on one leg and possible amputation on the other.
