Amber Alert Suspect May Have Booby-Trapped Vehicle

The Amber Alert making its way across Californian cities has been asking motorists and civilians to look for a Nissan Versa with the CA plate number 6WCU986.
In light of the recent development, authorities are now warning anyone who may come into contact with the suspect vehicle to stay away as it may be booby-trapped.
Updates on the murder investigation reveal that Christina Anderson, the mother of the abducted child, died because of blunt force that may have been applied with a metal crowbar.
A badly burned child’s body and a dog were also found at the murder scene.

Hannah Anderson, 16, is still reported missing after being abducted from Boulevard, a small town in rural Eastern San Diego, despite the Amber Alert currently being active in California, Washington and Oregon.
The L.A. Times reports that both Oregon and Washington State police forces have received multiple tips and “possible sightings of the vehicle” but had “no luck yet.”
The FBI has also been working with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and Mexican authorities to search for DiMaggio, since Boulevard is just slightly north of the border.
“Being this close to the border, it’s always a possibility,” said Lieutenant Glenn Giannantonio. “It’s kind of an easy way for them to disappear.”
Investigators have discovered a rumor of a possible relationship between the suspect and the 16-year-old Hannah Anderson, but do not have any conclusive evidence.
Anderson’s friends have told media outlets she was “creeped out” by the older suspect, but authorities also say DiMaggio was a close family friend and referred to as “Uncle Jim” by the Anderson children.
In an interview with CNN, San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore said: “We know that they were lifelong friends. We’re not exactly sure what that relationship was. We don’t know if Hannah’s with him willingly or not. We just don’t know right now.”
