George Zimmerman Not Guilty In Death Of Trayvon Martin

Zimmerman, a man whose mother is Afro-Peruvian, was orginally charged with second degree muder in the death of the 17-year-old African American teenager. The jury, however, was told that they could consider manslaughter, a charge that brings a shorter punnishment. Nevertheless, the jury found Zimmerman not guilty of either charge.
The six person, all-female, jury deliberated for 16.5 hours before reaching the verdict, CNN reported.
