Former Texas Official's Wife Confesses To DA Murders, Implicates Husband

Kim Williams, 46, described Tuesday in detail her and her husband’s roles in the deaths of Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse on Jan. 31, and District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia. The McLellands’ bodies were found March 30 in their home near Dallas.
Williams’ husband, Eric Williams, was already being held at the county jail on $3 million bond, The New York Times reported. He was arrested shortly after midnight on Saturday.
From Reuters:
The two prosecutors were involved in the conviction of her husband, Eric Williams, who lost his position as justice of the peace in Kaufman County after he was found guilty of stealing computer monitors from a public building, according to law enforcement authorities in Kaufman county.
The home of Eric Williams had been searched as part of the probe into the slayings of the two Texas prosecutors. He was arrested last week on suspicion of threatening violence.
Eric Williams has not been publicly named as a suspect, The New York Times reported, and has not been formally charged in connection with the murders.
From The New York Times:
A turning point in the investigation came late Saturday afternoon, when the authorities arrived at a self-storage business a short drive from Kaufman. There, investigators found a large storage unit where Mr. Williams had kept a white sedan and an assortment of guns, including handguns and assault rifles. He had attempted to conceal the existence of the shed, the car and the guns from investigators, law enforcement officials said.
According to Reuters, McLelland had publicly vowed to capture Hasse's killer.
Williams is being held on $10 million bail. She could face the death penalty if convicted.
