Bomb Threat Evacuation In Connecticut Church

From Newtown Patch
“State police SWAT officers dressed in camouflage and equipped with full auto rifles formed a loose perimeter around the church and a neighboring building — the parish religious education center — as other officers entered building. They remained inside for about 15 minutes and left without incident.”

Only days after the nearby shooting, the threat was a strong cause for alarm in the parishioners, with one woman fainting on her way out. She was quickly aided by paramedics waiting outside.
"I don't think any of us are surprised by anything after what happened this week," Brian Wallace, a spokesman for the Diocese of Bridgeport, responded.
The bomb threat was given an all-clear signal, but no reports on the evacuation or comment have been given currently.
SEE ALSO: Who was Adam Lanza?
From Tim Shaffrey of the Associated Press:
“Shooter Adam Lanza, his mother and eight of the child victims attended St. Rose of Lima. It is a Roman Catholic Church with an adjacent school, which Lanza attended briefly.
It's not clear if there actually was a threat or if, like many tragedies, whether it was a hoax or the result of a community on edge.”
