President Barack Obama told Republican senators Wednesday that if they had a problem with the handling of the Benghazi attacks in Libya then they should go after him, reported Reuters.

Obama came after two Republican senators said they would stop and attempts by the President to but US ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice into a Cabinet position that would require Senate confirmation.

“If Senator McCain and Senator Graham, and others want to go after some body, they should go after me. And I’m happy to have that discussion with them.”

Susan has received criticism for going on Sunday talk shows after the Sept. 11 attack on the US consulate in Benghazi. During her appearance, she said that the protests resulted from an anti-Muslim film rather than a premeditated strike.

The Obama administration came to Rice’s defense, claiming the comments were based on the best information given to Rice.
