After getting shaken up against Utah, Woods passed all concussions test during and followiing Thursday's game (Scott Enyeart/Neon Tommy).

As is customary for the Tuesday session, offensive players and coaches were made available to the media. Wideout Robert Woods, who avoided a concussion despite taking a big hit against Utah, spent time talking after practice. Naturally, the hit was one of the hot topics. Woods said he was not diagnosed with a concussion, and in the days following the game, he has continually been tested to make sure there were no lingering effects from the hit.

“When I got back the next day, I took another [concussion] test, and then yesterday I took another test,” Woods said.

Additionally, Woods noted he had never suffered a concussion during his playing career.

USC coach Lane Kiffin, who is 1-1 as head coach against Washington, was asked (as he now is every year) about Huskies’ head coach Steve Sarkisian and their friendship. Kiffin noted that they talk often, but will talk less since they face each other this week.

Also, it will be Matt Barkley’s first game in Seattle, after missing the 2009 contest with an injury.

Kiffin says Washington poses several challenges for USC. Notably, Kiffin expounded on how well UW plays at home.

“You go up there, and the crowd and the stadium is extremely loud, and they play better at home. The concern for us on offense is handling the crowd,” Kiffin said.

USC has two Washington natives in offensive tackle Zach Banner and placekicker Alex Wood who are both schedule to make the return trip home. In turn, Washington has 33 players from California on its roster.
