Meningitis Outbreak Has Spread To 14 States

The deadly outbreak of fungal meningitis has spread to 14 states, according to CBS

New Hampshire is the latest state to join the outbreak list. Other states with confirmed meningitis cases are Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Tennessee has been the hardest hit state with 53 cases of the disease.

The outbreak stemmed from a batch of contaminated steroid medication.
