Olivia Pope is back in action along with her gang of associates trying to stop yet another scandal from imploding. Though we now know that the biggest scandal belonged to one of their own.

That’s right, we finally know the true identity of Quinn Perkins (drum roll please). Her real name is Lindsey Dwyer, who turns out to be a wanted woman. In the opening minutes of the premiere we see seemingly sweet Quinn locked up, fighting for her life in the courts. Prosecutors are convinced that she is a cold blooded killer who set a homemade bomb to kill her boyfriend who slighted her and in turn killed innocent bystanders - 7 people in total. All things look bleak as the case progresses, but in a shocking ending the case is thrown out due to insufficient evidence.

The once frenemies Olivia Pope and assistant US attorney David Rosen have officially crossed over to full on enemy status. Due to what he knows is an unfair, and more importantly to him, unjust verdict, he believes Olivia is the one behind it. But wait there’s more!!!

We are also brought up to speed on the relationship between President Grant and the First Lady, in what seems to be one of the unhappiest marriages in D.C. The first lady is now pregnant with what she calls “America’s baby” and try’s to use her pregnancy for political gain, by trying to force the president in a hasty foreign policy decision. So who does the president turn to for support? Olivia Pope of course. Their relationship is in stark contrast with the president's marriage. You can see the love and desire they have for each other. The desire is going through the roof due to its forbidden nature.

The premiere answered a lot of questions, but raises even bigger ones still. With a season premiere like that I can’t wait to see what "Scandal" has in store for us next week.
