Toxicology Tests, Autopsy Planned For Rodney King

The Coroner's spokeswoman Jody Miller said toxicology tests are routine in accidental deaths and will not be available for six to eight weeks. A preliminary autopsy report will not be released, instead waiting for a full report on the findings.
According to Capt. Randy De Anda there were no preliminary signs of foul play or obvious injuries. King, whose notoriety grew out of a 1991 police brutality incident, was found dead at the bottom of his swimming pool by his fiancee Cynthia Kelley. Kelley said leading up to the incident she had been talking on and off with King through a sliding glass door before hearing a splash. She found King at the bottom of the deep end and called 911. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, said police.
Police are currently conducting a drowning investigation.
