Hollywood fell back in love with The Beatles' revered frontman with the release of his new single “My Valentine” last Friday night. Rumer Willis, Jane Fonda, Zooey Deschanel, Joan Jett, Ginnifer Goodwin, Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Stewart and Gwen Stefani were just a few of the stars adorning the red carpet in honor of Sir Paul McCartney’s newest release.

According to Vogue, some stars could not control their excitement.  “I’m in total stalker mode,” said actress Ginnifer Goodwin.

Many stars even rocked Stella McCartney designs in honor of the event.

Sir Paul McCartney premiered the video, starring Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman; the video was directed by the rock legend himself. Also involved in the filming was famed cinematographer Wally Pfister ("Inception," "Dark Knight").

He snuggled with wife Nancy Shevell while stars rubbed elbows during the showing, and when asked what inspired his latest love song, his response was “Nancy.” The song was performed on their wedding day and written especially for her.

His first release since 2009, the video was praised by the British Deaf Association for raising awareness about deafness and sign language.

“It would have been nice if genuine deaf people had been used, but it’s still great,” a BDA spokesman told U.K. publication The Sun. "It's great that famous people such as Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman are highlighting the use of sign language.”

Although some criticized the video for a few misused words, for the most part, the deaf community is embracing the video and it’s effort to create a “more poetic translation” of the song, and raising awareness for the deaf community.

But at the opening party, none were disappointed, and McCartney was applauded and praised for his newest release.
