REVIEW: “American Reunion” Once Again Heats Up the Screen

The first scene begins with an AP classic “tease,” and we discover that Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michele (Alyson Hannigan) are now married. Unfortunately, their sex life is down the drain after having a little boy. On the other side of the circle, Oz (Chris Klein) is having the time of his life with a lucrative broadcasting career and a hot girlfriend. Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) is happily married and enjoys cooking and watching “The Real Housewives” with his wife or just begging Jim for a guy’s night out.
Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is a liar, pretending to be a world traveler, and last but not least, Stifler (Seann William Scott), the sex-crazed lunatic has not changed. In fact, when the going gets rough during the weekend of the reunion, you can be sure that Stifler is involved.
When the boys—Jim, Oz, Kevin, and Finch—reunite the weekend of the reunion, they try do so without Stifler; however, they are soon surprised by his appearance at the same bar. After reluctantly accepting him into their circle, once again, the show begins its upturn into its acclaimed craze of poop, bodily fluids and girls.
Stifler buys the group 10+ rounds of shots, and we begin to think another “Hangover” movie is in store. The games begin, as the movie venerates cheating, homosexual jabs, MILFS, and newly legal teens.
In only one weekend, break ups, fights, unwanted (or wanted) naked adventures, partying, and outright ridiculous behaviors consume their lives. You will laugh at everyone’s outrageous behaviors and discover who has changed and who has not.
There are surprise plots, twists, and events throughout the movie which will keep your eyes hooked.
Don’t look away, or you might miss a body part. The actors have not lost their zest for their characters, and each one delivers a thrilling performance.
“American Reunion” opens in theaters April 6 in the US and May 2 in the UK.
