Cornerback Kevon Seymour of Muir High School in Pasadena, Calif. signed with USC on Wednesday morning, the school confirmed.

The 6-foot tall, 170-pound athlete won't have to go too far from home to join coach Lane Kiffin, after choosing the Trojans over Oregon, Cal and Washington, among others.

Seymour is rated as a four-star cornerback by Scout, Rivals and ESPN. Rivals ranked Seymour as the No. 6 corner in the nation, and the No. 82 overall prospect. Scout listed him as the No. 15 cornerback in the country, as did ESPN.

He committed to USC during the Army All-American Game on Jan. 7. Bud Elliott of SBNation noted that Seymour should fit well into the zone defensive schemes of assistant head coach Monte Kiffin.
