After decades in the movie business, film legend (and USC grad) (the two are obviously related) George Lucas is stepping down from the blockbuster business. The one potential exception to this retirement: a fifth Indiana Jones. Some stones are better left unturned. (NYT)
You’d think at some point, they’d just duel over this or something. After being sued by former Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark director Julie Taymor, the producers of the show fired back with… a lawsuit of their own. This will obviously clear things up. (Deadline)
Due to the lack of quality programming on television, Lifetime is ordering a Dance Moms spinoff. The name of this new groundbreaking television venture: Dance Moms: Miami. The only way this show could possibly be any good is if David Caruso makes network crossover cameo appearances. (Vulture)
Wait, THIS is the new golden standard of television: the infamous Honey Badger video is currently being transformed into an animated web series called Honey Badger U. It gets better: Randall, the voice behind the series, will play a professor of life sciences at a “dysfunctional university” whose mascot is a—wait for it—HONEY BADGER.
