Guy Ritchie is looking to remake The Cannonball Run, about the eponymous car race, and none other than GM is looking to do a little product placement for the film. Oh, and by “a little” I mean “nothing but.” The car giant would help Ritchie for financing, and in exchange all the cars in the film would be by GM. (Vulture)

Sampling is always a contentious subject, especially when the sampler is getting more attention than the samplee. Such is the case with Syl Johnson, who filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z and Kanye West for the sampling of his track “Different Strokes” on “The Joy,” from Hov and Yeezy’s collaboration album “Watch the Throne.” (Billboard)
