The prospect of having a second dinner is not a luxury for most Angelenos.

But at the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging, a second Passover Seder is a tradition 99 years in the making.

For the past five years, the Seder has been led by Rabbi Rita Herzberg, who said she is constantly amazed by the power of the Passover holiday.

"Our residents have an average age of 93, and they've been hearing the story of Passover for a long and fruitful lifetime," Herzberg said. "They also have been the teachers to many generations. And this to me is the spirit of 'Lador Vador', from generation to generation."
