In Arizona, Will John Thrasher Finally Upset Trent Franks?

Polls are currently favoring Republican candidate Trent Franks for representative of Arizona’s 2nd congressional district, a position he’s defeated Thrasher for in the past two general elections.
The two candidates have similar views on the strengthening of border patrol, but Franks’ emphasis on family values and strong military support fares well in the relatively conservative and largely Republican area. Thrasher, on the other hand, wants to focus on improving the educational system and ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan peacefully.
“We strongly support Trent Franks in his run for congress," says Arizona residents Abby and Tri Nguyen. "He believes in cutting taxes to encourage work and savings. We also agree with his beliefs on healthcare--that it must be reformed, but government run healthcare is not the
solution.”
In terms of financial support, Franks triumphs with $850,000 raised to Thrasher's mere $18,000. While this midterm election is filled with close races, this is not one of them. Maybe the fourth time is a charm for Thrasher?
