Garcetti defeated fellow Democrat Wendy Greuel, as he took 54 percent of the vote. Garcetti is not only LA's first-ever Jewish mayor, he's the youngest one in more than 100 years. He will succeed Antonio Villaraigosa, who was the mayor for the past eight years.
