Oscars 2014: Jared Leto Wins Best Supporting Actor
Anne Hathaway sparkled as she unfolded the envelope to announce Leto as the winner. The "Dallas Buyers Club" actor walked into the stage happy to accept the award. Before the announcement, Leto was the predicted winner, as he's made the clean sweep through all other awards shows including the Golden Globes and SAGs.

The actor thanked his mother for being a great inspiration to him as an actor. Leto also made a shout out to his brother and people struggling around the world, making his acceptance speech a classy one to kick off the the awards show.
Leto played an HIV positive transgender woman, which required him to lose a lot of weight for the role.
Other nominees for this award were Barkhad Abdi for "Captain Phillips," Bradley Cooper for "American Hustle," Michael Fassbender for "12 Years a Slave," and Jonah Hill for "The Wolf of Wall Street."
