Summer is over which means Sports SCene is back in session. In this episode we've got you covered on all the latest USC Sports news.

As summer wades into fall, SportSCene is back to give you the 411 on USC Sports.

Fall means football, and the Trojans are off to a rousing start by topping both Arkansas St. and Idaho in blowout fashion. Keely Eure and Kristen Lago have your highlights from the Idaho game and talk about some of the key takeaways moving forward when USC begins conference play.

For a deeper look at the freshmen, Jackson Safon and Paolo Uggetti discuss some of the running back standouts that have created an added depth in the backfield, From Ronald Jones' II long runs, to Dominic Davis' dynamic pass-catching, the Trojans are deeper than ever at the position. With Justin Davis back from injury, however, the question is how much playing time will each of them get?

We also take a look at how Sark's recruiting strategy is to target dynamic playmakers who can contribute right away. What does that do to the team's performance and depth?

Speaking of talented freshmen, the linebacking corps are filled to the brim with talented, physical players. Osa Masina and Porter Gustin are already showing great talent and potential, while Cameron Smith has been put into the starting lineup due to an injury to Lamar Dawson. Us this a sign that the freshmen will get more playing time headed into conference play?

Stanford arrives at the Coliseum this weekend to kick off Pac-12 play and USC's schedule is stacked with some stiff competition looking forward. How will the Trojans keep up their momentum going into conference play and which opponent will pose the biggest challenge for USC?

In other USC sports news we toss it to Jodee Sullivan with "Lighting the Torch." Women's soccer was in action this past week, while women's volleyball continued their undefeated season by sweeping the USC classic thanks to Samantha Bricio's stellar play.

Laundry and Pat Haden? Su’a Cravens’ cat? We’ve got your USC Tweets of the Week.

And finally, the story of the week: Blind long-snapper Jake Olson finally walked on to the football team this week, practicing for the first time. Find out what Coach Sarkisian said about getting Olson in the game.
