The 2015 VMAS aired this past Sunday night and let’s just say, a lot went down.  Not only was Miley Cyrus hosting, but Justin Bieber performed his new single and Kanye West gave a 12-minute speech.

Here are the top 10 times during this year’s VMAS that may have left you chill-less:

1. Nicki Minaj opened the show with her performance of “Trini Dem Girls” and then switched over to “The Night Is Still Young” which is when a surprise performance from Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj happened. After, they both sang a little from Taylor’s hit “Bad Blood” and gave each other the biggest best friend hug ever.

I guess the whole Twitter feud is officially over, right?

2. What do you mean Justin Bieber performed his new single, “What Do You Mean” on the VMAS?  What do you mean Justin Bieber was flying during the VMA performance? What do you mean Justin Bieber cried at the end of his performance?

I MEAN IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE. It definitely left us all with our jaws on the ground. There’s only one thing to say after that performance - BIEBER IS BACK!

3. Up and coming artist Tori Kelly showed everyone watching the VMAS not only how well she can play the guitar but also how incredible she is at singing!

By having the best performance of the night Tori Kelly blew the roof off of the Microsoft Theater with her performance of, “Should’ve Been Us.” She intimately ended the song by singing the chorus in acapella on her knees with all the fans singing along beside her. Talk about a breathtaking performance.

4. When you heard someone on the VMAS was taking off his or her clothes, your first guess was probably Miley Cyrus.

Even though that is true, everyone in the audience went crazy when Rebel Wilson ripped off her Police costume before presenting an award. Who needs clothes, right?

5. If you haven’t heard already, which you probably have or you’ve been under a rock, Kanye West gave a 12-minute acceptance speech for the Vanguard Award.

Although Taylor Swift’s presentation of the award was great, Kanye’s speech left us all in awe. For some of us it could have been because what he was saying was inspiring, for others it could’ve been because we were so confused at what was going on, or for the rest of us, it was because he announced that he will run for President in 2020. All we can say is, a lot happened during that speech.

6. After Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj put their friendship back together, Nicki Minaj decides to call Miley Cyrus out.

At first it all seemed staged but when you see Miley Cyrus’ off camera reaction, it was for real, for sure. Nicki called Miley out for something Miley said in an interview about Nicki. Miley replied by saying that media manipulates people into saying things a different way. Nicki didn’t seem to take that though and still looked mad as ever when leaving the stage.

7. Everyone knows Kanye West as the guy who never smiles.

However, on Sunday night during The Weeknd’s performance of “Can’t Feel My Face” Kanye was having his own little dance party all by himself. I don’t think I had ever seen someone so into a performance, but hey, I guess that’s how good The Weeknd is.

8. Although these didn’t happen on the show, they did happen at the VMA pre-show and right after the VMAS - The release of Taylor Swift’s new music video and Justin Bieber’s new music video.

Taylor Swift’s video was amazing and perfect as ever, and it was so great to see Justin Bieber in a music video again - even when it was getting a little steamy. It was an awesome music video for Justin to come back with and Taylor Swift’s music video is donating money to wildlife.

9. I don’t know what screams friendship goals more than Taylor Swift’s squad.

The squad consisting of Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt, Lily Aldridge, Seryah, and the list goes on and on.  What was even cuter, though, was Selena Gomez’s reaction when Taylor Swift was announced as the winner for music video of the year. I don’t know about you but I definitely wanted to join in on that hug and go bake cookies after for a celebration.

10. Lastly but certainly not least, Miley Cyrus closed the 2015 VMA with a performance of her new song, “Dooo It!” while dancing and twerking and doing everything with a ton of drag-queen back up dancers.

And if it that wasn’t enough, Miley announced at the end of the show that she had released a full album online for free! How crazy is that? Quite cray, but we loved every second of it.
