The 67th Primetime Emmys are happening this Sunday and we are all excited to see who will take home a statue. We are also anxious to see how host, Andy Samberg will do. Known for being a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” from 2005-2012, staring in the workplace sitcom “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and staring in films such as “I Love You Man,” we have high hopes for Andy as this year’s Emmy host.

He’s humorous

It is no secret that Andy is absolutely hilarious and we are ready to laugh our butts off. The best part of any award show is seeing which guest the host will make fun of and we can’t wait to see which A-lister Andy decides to tease.

It’s live

Andy is no stranger to live performances. Unlike past hosts who have experience mainly with pre-taped television, Andy has years of experience on “SNL” so he can roll with the punches and won’t crack under the pressure of live TV.

He sings

Andy is a comedic music genius. We fully expect a live song and dance routine, especially because his group, Lonely Island, has had some widely hilarious and catchy songs such as: “I’m On A Boat,” “I Just Had Sex,” “Lazy Sunday” and “Dick in a Box.”

He’s charasmatic

Andy has all of the aspects that have made Emmy hosts great in the past: the ability to sing and dance like Neil Patrick Harris (2009), the comedic skill of Jimmy Fallon (2010) and the charisma of Ellen DeGeneres (2001 and 2005).

No boundaries

Andy isn’t afraid of making himself look like a fool. Andy has had some embarrassing roles on “SNL” such as Shy Ronnie, which means he will pull out all the stops at the Emmys. Nothing is safe and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.
